Thursday 16 January 2025 was purchased another piece of land, adjacent to the one where the Contea has been located since 2018, making it approximately 15% wider.
How was it purchased?
Because, little by little, we want to make the places of Contea more varied and wide, have the space to cultivate, to grow more trees and expand the possibility for those who come to visit us to walk and enjoy these rural places.
One day we hope to expand even more, but without exaggerating: after all, Contea Gentile is already beautiful as it is. The land was sold to us by a very sweet lady who lives on the hill opposite, who remembered with melancholy and joy the old days when she cultivated that little piece of land together with her beloved husband who is no longer with us. She told me: "Please, treat that land well! It has fed my family for many years!".
And so I will do
I will try to keep that strip of land that reaches the river healthy and clean, to make sure that history and traditions past are not forgotten but at the same time are enriched with other stories, other people and a lot of love for things that grow.

In the book and in the film, the most famous halfling in the shire finds himself having to sign a burglar's contract drawn up by the Dwarves with a thousand footnotes and paragraphs. You can find the reproduction of this contract, in English, everywhere, but this one you see was hand-written by one of the loyal "citizens" of our project, in Italian and with references to the Journey that the contea Gentile is undertaking: the Construction and the Birth of a place out of the ordinary!
This document can be filled in with the type of trade or service you can offer for the creation of the contea Gentile!

Minted in 2022, it depicts the symbol of the shire on one side, the Acorn. While on the other side the face of the nicest mayor there is, Nicolas Gentile. This coin was created by one of the loyal "citizens" of the county project, to support and grow it.
Attention: obviously this currency has no legal value in Italy or other countries (perhaps only in imaginary ones). This is a gadget/souvenir from La contea Gentile. Certainly more emotionally valuable than other currencies in circulation in the world!
